A little space humor, whether it is true or not.
Human remains have been found buried in the grounds of a notorious reform school in Florida, amid fears that dozens of pupils were secretly killed there more than 50 years ago.
The skeletons of two youths were discovered during an excavation this week at the Arthur G Dozier School for Boys in Marianna, near the border with Alabama, which was closed in 2011.
Radar searches have indicated that as many as 50 graves are located in one area near the dreaded school for young offenders, where former pupils say boys were beaten, raped and tortured by staff.
Robert Straley, who attended for 10 months after stealing a car at 13, estimates that more than 100 boys were killed over the decades.
“The school opened in 1900 and the very ground it sets on is soaked in their blood,” he said. (Photo: AP)
This story chilled me to the bone when I heard a survivor interviewed on NPR.

When I think, you move: researchers achieve brain-to-brain interface
By Nathan Ingraham, theverge.com
It might sound rather frightening to have your arm move involuntarily, controlled by some unseen puppet master — but for researchers at the University of Washington, it represented a major breakthrough in human-to-human brain…
“I don’t use web surfing as a filler at the end of the day, nor do I leave early if I find I’ve finished my main tasks 15 minutes before I usually leave, even though no one would notice or care if I left early. I believe in making full use of the ‘small time’ at the end of the day. One of the things I learned from my years as a contractor, charging time in 15-minute increments, is how much you can get done in 15 minutes.”
